Dr Ramos

Dr. Raymond Ramos, DDS

grew up in Southern California skateboarding and surfing. He majored in Biology at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. While in college, he worked at a dental laboratory which sparked his interest in becoming a dentist. He moved to Northern California in 1990 and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1993. On weekends, he would mountain bike in Sonoma County and knew it was where he wanted to live. He practiced as a general dentist in Sonoma County before attending the University of Maryland and receiving his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. He joined Dr. Hodges in 1999. Dr. Ramos is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He met his wife, Dr. Cheryl Willett, at the University of Maryland where they were classmates and convinced her to move to beautiful Sonoma County. They have two wonderful daughters. When he's not at work or at one of his daughter's activities, he rides and races mountain and road bikes and snowboards. When asked what he likes most about being a pediatric dentist, he says "I love what I do and it doesn't feel like work. As a dad, I appreciate the trust the parents place in me and it's a privilege to watch their children grow up over the years. Even when the kids are old enough to graduate to an adult dentist, I still see their little face from their first visit with me when they were a toddler."

Dianne

Dr. Cheryl Willett, DDS, MS

Was raised in the suburbs of Chicago. From the age of 8 she had an interest in pediatric health care. Growing up in a family of artists, she also developed a strong love of arts and crafts. One day while talking to her father about what exactly to do in health care, he suggested pediatric dentistry and called it a great combination of medicine and arts and crafts. She started shadowing dentists while in college and knew it was the profession for her. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Miami in 1993 and completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Northwestern University in 1997 where she earned the Outstanding Service Award and the American Association of Orthodontists Award. She received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Maryland in 1999. She earned her Masters in Oral Biology from the the University of Maryland in 2001 with a thesis titled "Predisposing Factors to Pediatric Dental Anxiety." She is the former Dental Director for St. Joseph Oral Health Programs. Dr. Willett is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She moved from Chicago to Sonoma County when she married Dr. Ramos. When not being a mom-taxi or working, she enjoys yoga, cooking, and making photo albums. Dr. Willett enjoys giving children a positive dental experience and educating parents about prevention. Dr. Willett joined Dr. Hodges and Dr. Ramos in 2011 covering the office while Dr. Hodges traveled the world and is now a permanent part of our pediatric dental team.
